WHO WE ARE
Kristen Brewer is the lead writer of SEEN, a project born from a lifelong love of Scripture and more than 30 years working in music and theater. A composer, writer, and director for Sight & Sound Theatres, Kristen has spent her career shaping story and song in ways that invite audiences into something deeper than information - into experience.
She is deeply passionate about how music and storytelling can introduce people to God for the first time, or gently re-introduce Him in a way that moves faith from head knowledge to lived understanding. She believes this is how God wired us: to know truth through beauty, emotion, and narrative.
At the heart of Kristen’s work is a celebration of the women of the Bible. She sees women in Scripture as one of God’s most beautiful literary tools; featured, treated, mentioned, or even seemingly absent in ways that reveal the true heart of each story. Much of what we think we know about these women has been projected onto them, rather than drawn from the text itself. Through SEEN, Kristen seeks to return to Scripture, allowing the stories to speak for themselves, and in doing so, to reveal a God who has always been present, purposeful, and personal.
MEET OUR
FOUNDER

The songs of SEEN are not only songs, they are stories that induce reflection and focus on the goodness of God.

I first saw SEEN at the Heart Strong Women's Conference in Dallas and the music was what I needed. I bought a CD and listened to it over and over again. My husband passed away in 2021 and Leah's song was one that I listened to on my lowest days. "This time I will praise" reminded me that even in the hard I can praise. I eventually got a tattoo saying "I am seen" as a constant reminder that El Roi, the God who sees, truly sees me! Thank you for all of your beautiful words & music!!!

I was able to see the show SEEN when it was put on by the Conservatory. I was in one of the hardest seasons and consistently struggled with a very deep depression. The day of the show, I didn't want to go, I just wanted to go home. I felt a heart tug to go. So many scenes moved me to tears and healed pieces of me. Feeling seen and loved by the Lord is such a powerful thing and this show captures it so beautifully. Thank you so much.

Your ministry has been huge in my life. I saw your performance and heard your album and I made an entire art series based off of the lyrics. Your songs have given me strength and helped me through hard times. I listen to the album whenever I need a dose of confidence. Thank you for your ministry! It will surely bring many returns.
